Hi,

Can I suggest that you define what you mean by a hero first. The elements of a hero will then make the paragraphs or points in your assignment.

For example: a hero can be defined as "A traditional hero possesses “good” qualities that enable him or her to triumph over an antagonist who is “bad.” The term cultural hero refers to a hero who represents the values of his or her culture. …" (source:mrsruxton.com/glossary.htm)

So your thesis could be " A hero possesses the values of his her culture, such as bravery, honesty and self sacrifice".

In your assignment you would then find examples of bravery, honesty and self-sacrifice.

What’s a good thesis statement for what you think makes up a hero.?
Well I’m writing an essay for english and I’m having trouble thinking of a good thesis statement for what makes a hero.

On my instructions paper they gave us an example which is
"Heroes are made up of ordinary people who exhibit extraordinary courage."

I don’t want to use that one so anybody have any good ideas?
