How will my healthcare counsellor help me increase my self esteem?
I look like an average person but due to bullying and social anxiety throughout my life I feel like I look like an alien, my GP has arranged for me to see a healthcare counsellor who specializes in self image, how will my counsellor help me to gain self esteem and confidence and stop me from feeling as bad as I currently do, and what is an example of how they will help
Bullying is a product of natural selection. When you are being bullied personally you are a victim of others that have personal issues. When you are in this situation they are making you responsible for their feelings. When someone gets angry they have emotions up that have to be processed. In a subconscious way they are asking you to help them with their problems. When they see you it reflects their helplessness and it makes them angry.
Maturity is being able to control your emotions. When someone is angry this is a sign of immaturity. You may actually look like someone that could help them but they are imposing on you with force.
How will self esteem help? I don’t know how anyone will help you gain self esteem but all it really is, is a collection of personal accomplishments that help you feel great about yourself. This feeling will help you feel better about yourself and feeling confident is imperative if you wish for others to respect your personal space.
Pain doesn’t last long but shame does. Push yourself to be stronger and find a friend to share your experience. Please find a way to be able to laugh at yourself from time to time. Relax and find a way to feel cool. New sun glass? Clothes. Anything to get the ball rolling.

What is the main difference between arrogance and confidence, for example if I say that my team is going to beat your team, is that arrogance or confidence
I get the two confused all the time, but I think arrogance is just an EXTREME distortion of "confidence".
Using your excample: Confidence is knowing your team is good enough to win. Arrogance is knowing that your team will win because they are better than every other team on the planet.
